- Reports surfaced that Pandora Radio may be entering the music streaming war soon. If so, it will go against Spotify, Tidal and Apple Music, among others.
- The United States came out on top in the final Olympic medal count. USA finished with 121 medals, including 46 gold, 37 silver and 38 bronze. China finished in second place with 70 medals and Great Britain finished third with 67 medals.
- Kid Ink revealed the cover art for his upcoming mixtape, "Rocketshipshawty 2."
- B.o.B. announced his next mixtape and revealed the cover art. The mixtape will be called "Art Imitates Reality," and it will arrive August 29.
